Mbira refers to a typical musical instrument from sub-Saharan Africa, consisting of a wooden sounding board with metal blades attached to it, which the musician vibrates. The Zimbabwe Mbira Festival is a traditional music festival that takes place outdoors in Mukivisi Woodland, a nature reserve located in the eastern suburbs of Harare. With concerts, games and an open stage, it's a colorful day of interaction that promotes a truly authentic approach to Zimbabwean culture.
