THE MINING EXCHANGE

Built in 1900, the building originally hosted the mining stock exchange, where the gold and silver prices were decided in the region. In an Italian Renaissance style, it was the most beautiful and large building in the city at the time. Since 2012, the historic building has been transformed into a hotel of 117 luxury rooms including regular rooms and suites, most with original brick walls. The hotel also has a Cajun kitchen restaurant and a renowned spa in the hotel's arched basement.
