PIONEER SETTLEMENT
Swan Hill is the place to see a reconstruction of the river port, as well as numerous night-time shows.
Located on the banks of the Marraboor River, this open-air museum offers a glimpse into rural Australia from 1830 to 1930 through over 50 reconstructed buildings. For a different perspective, come aboard the PV Pyap, an 1896 paddle-steamer. In the evening, the Heartbeat of the Murray show tells the local story, illuminating the sky with light and laser effects. The site is also home to the PS Gem, an 1876 paddle-steamer that today serves as the main entrance and houses a restaurant with dishes inspired by the 1920s.
