SWAN HILL REGIONAL ART GALLERY
Nestled near the Marraboor River, the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery is currently closed for renovation. In the meantime, it has moved its activities to the Swan Hill Regional Library, where a store and temporary exhibitions are on offer. Founded in 1966 on the steamship Gem, the gallery moved in 1987 to a building inspired by Australian wool sheds, designed by architect Ian Douglas. Its collection of over 500 works focuses on Australian naive art, prints and drawings from the 1970s, as well as pieces relating to the Swan Hill region.
