CHANGSHA MUSEUM
Museum displaying a few paintings and pieces of jade or ceramics
The Changsha Museum highlights the city's history and cultural development. Its collections span several periods, with artifacts from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, ritual bronzes, ceramics and seals from the Han era. A section is dedicated to Changsha's urban evolution, including its strategic role during the Sino-Japanese War. The museum also exhibits local works of art, calligraphy and paintings from the Qing dynasty. Unfortunately, there are few explanations in English.
