TIANXIN PAVILION
This pavilion, built during the reign of the Qianlong emperor, is today one of the city's symbols
The Tianxin Pavilion dominates the last remaining stretch of rampart in the ancient city of Changsha, a precious vestige of the city's military past. Built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1735-1796) of the Qing dynasty, it is today one of the symbols of the city. Its elegant architecture, with curved roofs and sculpted pillars, is reminiscent of classical Chinese pavilions. From its heights, the view embraces Changsha's urban evolution. The surrounding area, with its picturesque gardens and alleyways, is well worth a stroll.
