Dedicated to Pak Tai, a venerated deity of the fishermen for his supernatural powers, this temple is also known as Yuk Hui Temple, or temple of Emptiness del Jade. It was completed in 1783, thanks for the miraculous eradication of an epidemic of plague. Here are the celebrations marking the anniversary of Pak Tai (the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month), but especially those of the Cheung Chau Bun Festival, during which three large towers covered with bread rolls are erected in front of the temple, ready to be gravies by all the young loyal fidèles, but by athletes trained especially for the occasion.
