A village located on the Šćepan plain, on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, it is in its heights that the rivers of Tara and Piva mix their waters to form the Drina. The ruins of the medieval fortress of Soko dominate this village. A fortress dating from the early 14th century, it was the residence of Stjepan Vukčić Kosača, a great voivode of Bosnia. The Ottomans seized it and destroyed it in 1465. The main activity of the village was for a long time connected with the transport of wood on the Tara River until 1973 Today, it is mostly known for white water sports such as kayaking and rafting
