RHÊMES VISITING CENTER: "WELCOME BEARDED VULTURE"

At the Gran Paradiso National Park Visitor Center, the permanent exhibition focuses on the bearded vulture, Europe's largest bird, with a spectacular wingspan of 2.70 meters. It tells the story of this vulture, from its disappearance from the Alps at the beginning of the last century as a victim of intensive hunting, to its recent reintroduction, some ten years ago, into its natural environment.
