MOSTEIRO DE SANTA CRISTINA DE RIBAS DE SIL

In the middle of the forests of the river Sil, this beautiful monastery still tells the story of the past of the region. The Romanesque church of the ^12th century is formed by three semicircular apses. The upper part of the façade is decorated with a beautiful rose window. The monastery has a single archivolt decorated with large leaves and a double geometric molding. The four evangelists are represented: the eagle (Saint John), the angel (Saint Matthew), the bull (Saint Luke) and the lion (Saint Mark).
