Fragas de Eume Natural Park offering a bike ride or walk to discover Pontedeume

From Pontedeume, we follow the course of the river Eume. The banks, which are slightly sloping at first, gradually become steeper, until they become a narrow canyon where the river is embedded in granite walls. We reach the ruins of the Carveiro monastery, founded in the 10th century. From here, you can walk the 17 km to the Eume dam. Alternatively, you can take a bike ride and continue south to the 13th century Monfero Monastery.
