CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA DEL MAR

Built by the sailors' guild in 1766 in a baroque style, what was then a simple single-nave chapel with a wall belfry was enlarged between 1930 and 1950 to become the church that we see today. Inside the temple there are paintings by Lluís M. Güell from the late 1950s and early 1960s. The paintings in the baptistery date from 1964 and are the work of the contemporary artist Josep Grau Garriga.
