Ruins of a Teutonic Order castle at the northern end of the lake, with an explanatory panel tracing its history.
At the northern end of the lake, where the Narva River flows into the lake and at the border with Russia, there are the ruins of a castle of the Teutonic Order. This was a religious order of chivalry founded by citizens of Bremen and Lübeck in 1191. On the spot, at the ruins, do not miss the explanatory panel to better know the history of the place. Just across the river, you can see the Russian flag and its grounds.
