Archaeological excavations have uncovered the importance of these thermal baths. Located on a former volcanic crater, formed more than 8 000 years ago, in the Fields fields zone, the site was already exploited by the Romans. The Greeks also appeared to know the therapeutic virtues of thermal waters and gases. Today, a modern complex (within a hotel) offers a wide range of treatments, thanks to the water mineral qualities of Agnano.
