If you're in the mood for a treat, take a seat on the terrace of this legendary restaurant. Opened at the end of the 19th century, right next to the Popes' summer residence, you'll enjoy the same enchanting view of Lake Albano as the Popes. Let yourself be tempted by the lake specialties (carp or trout). And ask the sommelier for advice on choosing a local wine - the restaurant's cellar is splendid and well worth a visit. A luxurious address where the bill is likely to be high.

Es un gran lugar. Tiene muy buena vista al lago y una cava muy linda para visitar. La comida no es la mejor; pedimos la pasta con langosta, y la verdad esperaba mucho más. La langosta aún estaba un pico congelada y muy poca carne; además, la pasta no tenía mucho sabor. El servicio es muy bueno, sin embargo y como en muchos sitios en Italia, toca tener cuidado con las raciones de pan y el agua (cobran todo y muy caro)

Posto molto bello lo consiglio vivamente il menú spazia tra carne e pesce ho provato il pesce antipasto del pescatore, gnocchi alle vongole e fantasie di dolci , qualche nota migliorabile a mio avviso, lo gnocco presentava molti lupini e poche veraci , la sala dove siamo stati precisamente in enoteca le posate venivano lasciate direttamente sul tavolo in vetro, e visto che il soffitto lascia parecchie particelle sul tavolo forse é il caso di metterci un rialzo, un pó troppe ragnatele in giro sulle casse e nelle teche riservate agli alcolici, una passatina ogni tanto non farebbe male, prezzi un pó sopra la norma , ma il vino era buono.

Very nice place ,with a beautiful view at the lake. Delicious dishes. The restaurant has a 142-years history and maintains the traditional italian-roman kitchen!

Si mangia molto bene, buono il servizio, ambiente curato, ma troppo affollato. Prezzi alti. Poco parcheggio. Ottima vista.

Lo chef e la cucina sono davvero bravi, meritano davvero.
Abbiamo mangiato lo strudel con tartufo e carciofi, antipasto del pescatore con tutti piccoli assaggi di antipasti di mare (le alici ripiene) poi paccheri al pesce spada e i ravioli cacio e pepe gamberi e lime. La pasta bella al dente (davvero al dente) e tutta fatta da loro.
Il pane (coperto penso 3€) fatto bene anche quello, specialmente quello alla curcuma.
Io un vino analcolico che ho gustato molto.
Tiramisù di gran classe e un dolce nuovo al cioccolato bianco e caramello salato.
Tutto preparato bene e segno del posto prezzo. 130€ poi messo a 120€, con offerte dei liquori preparati dalla casa.
Per essere a Castel Gandolfo non costa poco, data la presenza di tante osterie, ma chi è capace a distinguere la qualità, se ne accorge subito
