In the heart of the medieval village of Castellabate, this restaurant takes over the main square, made famous by the film Benvenuti al sud, on the first day of summer. You can enjoy the large terrace with its magnificent view over the coast while enjoying traditional Cilento dishes. The cuisine is simple and classic, with good quality seafood and local specialities. As the name of the place suggests, there is a good selection of regional wines.

Has an interesting selection of dishes that are local (I think?). For example a cerviche like dish of four different fishes. Pasta dishes were nice. It’s all quite enjoyable eating on the square there.

As many reviewers have stated before, the fixed price menu is a joke. Meaning, it is very expensive considering what you get. €30 for an appetizer and a primo is steep.

The food was not bad but not great either. The service was decent. The atmosphere at the main piazza is beautiful.

So, if you go for the ambiance, expect the food to be just so/so, and are okay with paying a premium, then this is a decent restaurant.

Pessima l'accoglienza. Ci propongono un tavolino per coppie nonostante avessimo prenotato per 3. Ci consentono di accomodarci ad un tavolo da 4 ma questa rimane l'unica nota positiva. Offerta menù non molto chiara. I dessert vengono illustrati nella pagina dei menù fissi ma poi non sono compresi. Piatti nella norma ma non in linea con i prezzi troppo elevati. Porzioni molto lontane dal prezzo richiesto. Peccato.
