A nature reserve of 4,020 ha belonging to the Chortitzer cooperative. Located 67 km southeast of Loma Plata. Like Chaco Lodge and Laguna Capitán, it is part of the basin of a small river, the Riacho Yacaré, which brings together salt lagoons surrounded by xerophytic woods. The habitat of many migratory birds and other animals, including the puma, ñandú and tapir. In summer, the partially dried out lagoon shows traces of salt, testimony of the presence of the sea 60 million years ago. An observation tower allows you to admire this magnificent landscape. You can spend the night upstairs, in your hammock, for a magical sunrise! For access contact Patrick Friesen of the cooperative (✆ 0982 317 791).
