LABERINTO VEGETAL

After eight years of hard work, Sylvia and Thomas Wiens have realized their dream of creating a plant maze. They opened their garden to the public and it is now one of the most visited sites in the region. This work of plant art measures 40 m wide by 100 m long and is made up of over two thousand Pilcomayo shrubs, a tree with shiny leaves that doesn't require much water. This type of labyrinth can be seen elsewhere in the world, but is unique to Paraguay. A pleasant excursion to take when the heat is off.
