The Yerba Mate "Pajarito" ("Little Bird") is one of the most consumed brands in Paraguay, produced by the company Lauro Raatz S.A., which offers guided tours to discover the industrial production process. It begins with a 10-minute video telling the story of the yerba mate, followed by a tasting and observation of the different stages of production. It is also possible to visit the nursery, the maté fields (5 km away) and the Casa Raatz, a museum in honour of the family that founded the company in 1950.
