This museum of religious art is located in a colonial-style house, built on the site of the old church, demolished in 1907 (some ruins remain next door). It has several themed rooms, presenting about sixty superb polychrome sculptures of different sizes, made of cedar wood and lapacho. It is the only museum in the region with paintings on wooden panels. Their bright colours have been well preserved.
