Housed in a 19th-century house, this historical museum was created by a veteran of the Chaco War. It is dedicated to this conflict, but also to the War of the Triple Alliance, during which Piribebuy, the "Ciudad Heroica", was the victim of a terrible battle on August 12, 1869. Its name pays tribute to the commander of that battle. Miguel Romero, the museum's director and a renowned santero (sculptor of saints), can also show you around the nearby Franciscan church.
