CASTILLO PALMEROLA

The "castle" is located in a large property hidden behind high walls. Its construction began in the 19th century, at the request of the first owners, Francisco Solano López and Elisa Lynch. The property then passed into the hands of other families. In 1904 Carlota Palmerola inaugurated the building, a mixture of neoclassical and neo-gothic styles. The property was bequeathed in the middle of the 20th century to the Dominican sisters, who have their retirement home on the spot next door. The castle museum exhibits objects and furniture of the Palmerola family.
