MUSEO SAN RAFAEL
Housed in a handsome colonial house opposite the church, this museum bears the name San Rafael, in homage to Itauguá's oldest Franciscan sculpture (1600). Created by the parish in 1964, the museum displays Franciscan and Jesuit sculptures, as well as paintings and furniture from the colonial era. The room devoted to ñandutí is of particular interest: the manufacturing process is explained, and a wide variety of pieces are on display, with designations. Finally, the museum displays objects and weapons from the Chaco War.
