BAR NACIONAL

The Lido Bar, which operated here from 1953 to 2022, has moved on, and the Bar Nacional has taken its place. It retains much the same concept, albeit more elegant and more expensive. Extended opening hours, a long U-shaped bar, traditional cuisine(milanesa de surubí, caldo de pescado, mandio'o chyry, empanadas...) and plenty of room for a juice or a beer on the terrace on Calle Palma, or in the air-conditioned dining room. Upstairs, a fine view of the Pantheon. The food and service are decent, but the cocktails are creative and the setting very pleasant.
