One of the four missions established in June 1797 by the priest Fr. Fermin de Lasuen, president of the missions of California. It is also the fifteenth mission on the 21 missions in California. She served as a scene for Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo Froides" (Vertigo), no doubt for her mysterious and over time. The interior of the church, with three naves worth the visit alone! A small museum is also to be seen on the side of the church.
