ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY

The Islamic University of Peshawar was founded in 1913 by a British politician and military officer of the time. It is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country. The main building, with its Victorian face, is the symbol printed on the 1,000 Rp banknotes. The campus gardens are the ideal place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Peshawar for a few hours.
