THÉÂTRE VASILE ALECSANDRI

This theatre with Soviet architecture is located near the central fountain and the Patria cinema. It was founded on May 16, 1957, before becoming the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre of Bălți in 1990. It has a small and a large hall with 584 seats. The repertoire consists of classical and contemporary performances by Moldavian and Romanian authors. Concerts or shows organized by the local Alliance française sometimes take place there.
