Beach in San Simeon considered as a huge refuge of seals, one of which weighs more than 2 tons

This beach is a huge refuge for elephant seals. Sometimes weighing over 2 tonnes, they are the largest species of seal and take their name from their trunk-like nostrils. Every year, between December and February, Piedras Blancas is crowded with their babies. The rest of the time, take a break to admire the epic battles between the males, while the rest of the group bask peacefully. On site, get in touch with the Friends of the Elephant Seal volunteer guides to find out more about these mythical animals.

Un magnifique poste d'observation des énormes éléphants de mer. C'est un endroit parfait pour assister à toutes les scènes de vie comme une vraie bagarre entre mâles. Un super spectacle naturel et gratuit !

Des lions de mer qui paressent ou se battent au soleil et des touristes qui les regardent... On s'arrête et on fait comme les autres : des tas de photos !
Le parking est grand, le ciel est bleu, mais l'attraction ne mérite l'arrêt que si on a le temps.
