Ancient Jewish cemetery founded in 1389 where the mortal remains of the Jews of the Serenissima between the fourteenth and nineteenth centuries are buried.

This cemetery, built in 1389 along the Via Cipro, is one of the oldest in Europe. It immediately immerses its visitors in a singular atmosphere, due to the charm that emanates from it and the sculptures that line its steles. The vegetation has gradually invaded the alleys over the centuries, inviting itself benevolently around more than a thousand graves. Here lie the bodies of Venetians of the Jewish faith who lived in the Serenissima between the 14th and 19th centuries.
