Vercelli's historic café, in the heart of Piazza Cavour, still exudes the fragrance of yesteryear. The beautiful woodwork cornice above the shop windows still bears the same name from over a century ago: TAVERNA & TARNUZZER, Methier estate. The interior is well worth a visit for the beauty of its wood panelling, now covered with pastries and bottles. Excellent artisanal pastries to be enjoyed on site in the pretty tearoom, on the sunny terrace or to take away.
