MAINE LOBSTER FESTIVAL

Every year in August, Rockland goes wild for the star of Maine, who is none other than the lobster! For 5 days, some 30,000 people gather to taste the famous shellfish in all its forms, and to music! The festival is held at Rockland's Harbor Park, which fills up with white and red tents selling appetizing products. Hotels in town are filling up for the occasion, so it's highly recommended that you book your accommodation well in advance if your stay falls at the same time as the festival.
