On the face of it, there's really no reason to go to this little village, but that's without counting on a friendly family who live there. Yann and Hélène Guillerm's family are just waiting to meet any tourists who dare to venture as far as Rot Front (www.asiarando.com). From there, they organize beautiful horseback rides of all levels and lengths in the surrounding area. The longest escapades take you as far as Lake Song Kul in two weeks (for seasoned riders!). Rot Front is also known as the last German village in Central Asia since the fall of the USSR.
