Traces of dinosaurs, abundant remains of petrified trunks and roots, endemic vegetation... geologists in the making will have a field day! Founded in 1991, this national protected area was delimited to try to preserve one of the most threatened desert ecosystems of South America. Its environmental diversity is used as a refuge by many endangered species. The wild beauty of the park, the natural amphitheaters, the red color acquired by the strong oxidation of the land, the remains of the indigenous population are to be admired.
