This Renaissance style tower, located on the left bank of the Zumelegui River, has been classified as a Cultural Internet Property
This Renaissance-style tower is the most emblematic building in the city. It is a rectangular freestone tower, classified as a Cultural Heritage Site. Located on the left bank of the river Zumelegui, it was built in the 9th century and then renovated in the 15th and 16th centuries, with the addition of a Tuscan-style gallery. Its name comes from the powerful Muntsaratz family, whose coat of arms can be seen engraved on the facade of the tower.
