BASILICA DE SANTA MARÍA DE URIBARRI

In the historic heart of Durango, a 16th century basilica where Queen Isabel the Catholic took the oath of office. Nestled against the Arandoño Tower, the temple preserves a beautiful Renaissance altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin, which coexists with a Gothic nave. But if the place is worth a visit, it is for the impressive frame of its porch, which is said to be the largest in the Basque Country. It has remained a meeting place for the inhabitants of the town.
