MAD RIVER VALLEY

Following Route 100 to the south of the state, we cross the Mad River Valley, one of the most beautiful stretches of this route to Canada. The valley is a mix of pastures and green hills. The small ski resort of Mad River Glenn (www.madriverglenn.com) attracts skiers nostalgic for the atmosphere of the old resorts. The area is ideal for long walks and bike rides. The villages of Waitsfield and Warren are great places to stop for a snack or to buy local produce. Not to be missed in autumn.
