THANKSGIVING

This typically American family holiday commemorates the meal given by the Pilgrim Fathers in thanksgiving to God and the Indians for allowing them to survive the first winter in the New World. If you are in New England at that time, you should not miss the historical re-enactment at the Plimoth Plantation Living Museum, 60 km south of Boston, in the city of Plymouth where the first Thanksgiving in history took place. Everywhere in the United States, including Boston, large parades are organized for the occasion.
