We booked here for a month hoping to stay at this campground for the winter, but had to leave early because several full timers were very disrespectful of their dogs and camp living conditions. No respect for others or noise rules. A lot of the facilities were in bad shape or run-down. The staff was great though. Very helpful. A great spot on the river as well.
Checked in late, checked out early so really didn't interface with management. But love the location right of the freeway and right on the Colorado River.
We wanted to stay a Fender's RV Campground. The website indicates that the only way to book is to call. I did so. 4x in as many days. I left a voicemail "for this MagicJack customer" (generic phone service provider answering message) TWICE. I also reached out and messaged via Facebook, only receiving a generic response that also said "we'll get back to you soon" (they never did), and "please call" (btdt x 4). I loved the location of this campground, but if we cannot get anyone to answer the phone, we cannot stay there.
Great authentic Route 66 Motel.
A must if traveling Route 66 as it's right on the river for a swim.
Especially in summer.
Has a pool and spa.
Room just needs a little maintenance.
Otherwise nice spot.
Looks like they're in the middle of fixing up room near pool.
Shops close by.
Love the old motel. They are going to make bar and restaurant on property. A lot of the income comes from travel trailers. I manage property and I think they don't want to spend money on fixing up motel. Their was plaster that fell from walls , toilet just needs flapper but it runs all night. The TV is a small old box TV . I do like they have nice shower but they put drain in awkward spot .
Room was very big with a full kitchen and my room (Room 1) had a patio off of the room with a Colorado river view. The staff was friendly and helpful at checkin and throughout the stay. Ice had to be purchased by the bag as most of this resort was catering to motor homes, etc.
After being a Snowbird in this park for 2 years. Came back to enjoy a 3rd. Soooooo disappointed ????. Pulled in parked where we do to check-in. Big lady sitting outside YELLS at us you can't park there, and again. I asked if I could pay. YELLS again you can't park there. So I'll go park and come back. She says you know your space? Well yes ! This gal has been there since we've been staying here. So rude. So we went to park. Checked site and sewer broken Plus the park looked terrible. Long term guest have a jet ski repair site. Some rv'ers rv look like they were home repaired. Sites just junky. If Rosie would have been there she would have offered another site til sewer was fixed. Not this lady. Had Wes glue it. And wait a hour to dry. We're talking sewer folks. Needless to say we left. Gone elsewhere. So sad
Yes and no. Since this is my only sounding board for conveying and grading this experience. I've been 2 weeks with no hot water in the shower and at the beginning of the stay I was told my dish orientation would be corrected and fixed. Neither one of these problems were taken care of.
For $600 a month what would you expect? You get what you pay for. I also mentioned since I signed no contractual agreement and my boarding was month to month could they work with me on some type of kick back onthe rent. My rent is paid up to the 23rd. It's Oct. 2. A flat no was their answer. According to state law they are bound on a return if the rest is month to month and no rental agreement was made prior to renting the unit. Anyway, other than that it was great.
