Historic lodge with beautiful views, restaurant, cafeteria, and cafe-saloon, the only one in Grand Canyon National Park on the North Rim.

The Grand Canyon Lodge, which is the only hotel in the park on the North Rim, has been declared a historic landmark since 1987. You are just a few dozen yards from the shore and the view is magnificent. The rooms are divided into 4 levels of comfort (the most basic are in the motel). A restaurant, a cafeteria and a café-saloon allow to have meals and snacks. A buffet is also served in the auditorium from May to September. Note that the Grand Canyon Lodge is the starting point for North Rim mule rides.

Lorsqu'on va au Grand Canyon north rim et qu'on veut loger à l'intérieur du parc il n'y a pas le choix; c'est le seul lodge de la rive nord, sinon il faut loger à l'exterieur du parc, et c'est une longue route. Le complexe hotelier est très bien conçu. Les chalets sont au milieu de la forêt. Il y a plusieurs restaurants et il vaut mieux réserver avant, sur internet . Le sentier vers bright angel point part depuis le lodge, et on arrive au bord de la falaise, impressionnant. Pour les autres points de vue, il faut prendre cape royal road. Beaucoup moins de monde ici qu'à la rive sud, et on a le temps pour faire des photos, seuls !
