A sandstone pillar, located in Djanet, features a beautiful bas-relief depicting cattle with tears in their eyes.
Halfway between Djanet and the airport, follow the track on the right for 5 km to reach a solitary rock. The back of this sandstone pillar is decorated with a very beautiful bas-relief representing cattle whose eyes seem to overflow with tears. It is probably one of the herds that came to drink from the semi-permanent guelta that lies at the bottom of the rock face. Go there at the end of the afternoon when the sun caresses the cows and digs the reliefs.
