The CNL is located in a large bourgeois house built in the baroque style in 1788. It was home to the Servais family, who exerted great political and economic influence on the country. The centre possesses literary works dating from 1815 to the present day in the three languages of the country and aims to promote Luxembourg literature. The library, which is open to the public, contains 25,000 books and other documents. Temporary exhibitions complete the visit.
