Reserve south of the Mar Azul district, featuring a 65 m-high lighthouse with 278 steps to enjoy the desert panorama.
Created on November 18, 1996, the Reserva Natural Municipal Faro Querandí spreads over 5,757 hectares of dunes in the south of the Mar Azul district. After 30 km, in the dunes, there is the lighthouse that gave its name to the reserve, 65 m high. One can climb its 278 steps to appreciate the desert panorama. Be careful, there are no signs in the storeroom. Don't go alone or you'll get lost. To make an incursion there, in 4x4 or on horseback, ask at the tourist office.
