Not as glamorous as other resorts, San Clemente del Tuyú was founded in 1935 by Don José Pereira. Nevertheless, the town will appeal to families and budget travelers who will come to stroll along the beach, on the main street which has many restaurants and cafes. The interest that Argentines have for San Clemente comes mainly from its dunes and its large beaches as well as its protected natural areas such as the Punta Rosa nature reserve. On the main beach, a beautiful pier plunges into the sea.You will find a tourist office at the corner of Costanera and Avenue 63, in front of the beach.
