CITADEL (ЗАМЧИЩЕ)

The oldest part of the city is on the right bank of the Svislač, at the intersection of the streets

. and Niamiha. In the th century, the appearance of a fortress gave birth to Minsk. In 1953 the fortress was destroyed to allow the construction of Pieramožcaŭ Avenue. Today, there is a replica of the first church of the city, as it was in the th century.
