Travel Guide Bouizakarne

40 km north of Guelmim, at the foot of the Anti-Atlas mountains, this town is known for its many argan trees. There is not much to do there, except to visit its Friday souk, surely one of the most heterogeneous in Morocco. From here you can go to Akka and the oases of Tata by taking the left road at the intersection in the city center, or continue to Guelmim by turning right. Bouizakarne is well served by large taxis and bus companies. Just before Guelmim, the small village of Iguissel has a pretty little kasbah. Be aware that there are police checks at the entrance to the town.
