A site, with the remains of an ancient kasbah, commemorating the disaster caused by the 1960 earthquake in Agadir
All that remains of the city before the earthquake are the moving ruins of the kasbah. Walking along what is today a vast, bare esplanade where goats graze, you can make out in places the foundations of the old kasbah, built in 1540 to resist the Portuguese, and once teeming with life. The only vestige is the gateway, which bears a Flemish inscription dating from 1745: "Fear God and honor your king", a reminder of the presence of the Dutch trading post. From the top of the hill, the view over the whole bay is breathtaking.

except for the view and the camels, the place is deserted
To make absolutely in Agadir, a panoramic view over the city from the ancient kasbah... magical landscape!
What is really need to do in Agdir, it is going to the top of the kasbah. You will have a splendid view of the beach and the city, especially at sunset! The beach is about 12kms long, and it is a sandy beach.
