MÉCHOUAR

The Petit Méchouar, at the entrance to the medina, allows access to the Old Méchouar, the place of arms on which all the official demonstrations of the time of the Merinid, the founders of Fez el-Jedid, took place. Today, concerts are held, especially in June at the festival of sacred music in the world. Its high and impressive walls have become a favourite place for the storks who come to their nest.
