Cemetery declared a National Monument in Valparaíso, containing the bodies of the first great names in Puerto Rican and Chilean history.
Declared a National Monument in 2005, it is in this cemetery that the first great names in the history of Puerto Rico and Chile, military, political and benefactors of the city were buried. Before the cemetery was built, people were buried in common graves near the churches. A mural allows you to identify the most notable tombs, some of which look like small palaces, each with its own style: stained glass, gothic or neo-classical. Nice view from the mirador next to the mausoleum of Pascual Baburizza.
