UVA HALPEWATTE TEA FACTORY

Located about 6 km north of Ella, it is the largest and most popular tea factory in the region. A guide will take you through the various production processes and explain each step of the Ceylon tea making process, with a tasting session at the end. It is possible to buy tea produced on the spot. It is better to go there by vehicle, the climb is very steep. The tea factory is the most interesting to visit in the surroundings of Ella.
