Château de Chaintres is a charming 17th-century manor house in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation, in Dampierre-sur-Loire. The wine estate extends over some twenty hectares, including the famous Clos du Château, of exceptional size and unique in the region. Since 1938, the de Tigny family has been perpetuating the tradition of producing refined wines, notably Saumur Champigny. The estate has been certified in sustainable agriculture and in organic conversion since 2010. Château de Chaintres offers tours and tastings for individuals and groups. For wine lovers, Château de Chaintres offers a selection of quality products, including organic Saumur Champigny AOC Vieilles Vignes, organic Saumur Champigny AOC Les Sables and organic Saumur rosé AOC Les Hirondelles. In the troglodyte cellars on the hillside, the wines are patiently elaborated.
